Hayabusa = Peregrine Falcon

:poke:Dude what are you saying. The Hayabusa is Japanese for the fastest bird in the world, the "Peregrine Falcon" capable of speeds over 320 km/h. That is what you bought, the falcon:bowdown:

Look at the attached picture and compare. rethink what you said.

waiting to hear back from you.

What is the meaning of 'Hayabusa'?

Hayabusa’s name is of Japanese origin, translated to English is the prized bird of prey…the peregrine falcon.
This species is a symbol of speed, power and strength; the three skills that each martial arts expert hones over time. The Hayabusa is an extremely cunning and agile creature, striking at extremely high speeds with utmost precision and accuracy.

Yeah mines ugly as crap too, that's why everyone that walks by it stares for a few moments. :laugh:

Please post a pic of the part you don't like. It just so happens that Lamb's favorite part is the front. The area near the bottom of the headlight has gentle flowing lines that remind one of certain parts of the the female persuasion.:whistle:

Actually, the word "Hayabusa" means "strong and fast". The name was given to that falcon and has also graced the sides of a battleship, a bullet train, and a jetfighter among other things......
As far as the bodywork, its important to note that that wierd body work is what gives the hayabusa such a low coefficient of drag and hence a higher top speed than alot of bikes with the same amount of power. Changing it will most likely lead to a higher amount of drag and therefore, any advantage that you now have over other bikes at high speed acceleration. Just for comparison, the 99-07 hayabusa have a drag coefficent of 3.15 which means on paper, with unlimited distance it should take only 196hp to reach 200mph. A ZX-14 requires 203hp to reach the same speed because its not aas aerodynamically effecient. That goofy front end works!!!

:type:hi, being as I am really nerdy about things like formulas... Is there an equation for drag coefficient/ top speed?

Theres actually an excel spreadsheet floating around the site somewhere that will figure everything out for you using gear,wind drag,weight,etc but I've got no clue where on here I saw it. Just try searching for "top speed formula" or something and I'm surre you can find it if you look hard enough. My last post was taken from a magazine that did wind tunnel testing,lol. :thumbsup:

you can change the front fender out. There's a few after market ones there to pick from. you can also go with the projection light setup. I love the look of the busa myself. :thumbsup:
