front foot peg bracket

Chroming my footpeg bracket tomorrow like to know has anyone removed the rubber grommets from the center of the 3 large bolts.Tried but they didn't seem like they were going to come out without messing them up, any thoughts or questions on how to remove them or can they even be removed.

Chroming my footpeg bracket tomorrow like to know has anyone removed the rubber grommets from the center of the 3 large bolts.Tried but they didn't seem like they were going to come out without messing them up, any thoughts or questions on how to remove them or can they even be removed.

They have to be pressed out..... you can use an appropriately-sized socket to bang them out in a pinch.

Thanks warchild, can you elaborate a little more, my friend and I were both trying to get them out and had no luck plus I back off cause he was warning me about cracking the bracket from the hammering. You might just have to walk me thru this like a child. Thxs.
