My bike was always reading Full also. I found a loose terminal pin on one of the wires in a connector plug on the gas tank. There is a brown four pin plug that you might disconnect alot when you lift your gas tank. Your sending unit runs through that. Check the pins to see if maybe one of them got pushed out a little.

Thanks for all the replies! The pictures are worth a thousand words MYMaster! I am hesitant to screw with it now. It seems to have sorted itself out now??? I did a long ride home tonight and it is reading correctly now. Hell maybe I just imagined it?
