I am still on my second tank of gas but I used Shell 93 octane. I got 45.45 MPG on the first tank full and I'm not sure what the dealership used. I am also being told that about the first gallon you pump is what ever the person before you purchased. Not sure how true that is..

This is what they recommend from the Factory. I am thinking of mixing some cam 2 for the summer so i can go full throttle with out hurting anything.

Is that what it says on the sticker on the frame? My 2005 says 87...
Stickers on the frame and tank say 93 octane, it's all I run, what's another $.80-1.00 per fill on these anyway.

With a compression ratio of over 12:1 you should be running 90 octane or higher. Lower octane fuels are more prone to detonation (ignition before spark also know as a ping). Detonation can be catastrophic at high RPMs. It will also cause an engine with a knock sensor to retard the spark to protect the engine, resulting in reduced performance.
The higher compression on the 08 busa calls for higher octane
'06 87 or 89 regular.
