Yeah, we have two local drag strips do these sort of events on Friday nights, but it's just not the same. I love meeting up with people in an industrial park, running them with no sanction, and hoping that sooner or later getting the chance to get into a cop chase. Keeps the adrenaline pumping. These sort of things take all the fun out of actual street racing.

We have a number of drag strips around here, its pretty ok til it starts getting dark outside, seems all the idiots want to run under the lights, plus it starts getting a little too thuglife so we normally head out by 9pmish. The other side of the coin is that if you go early, you can run and run and run.... after dark its a parking lot in the stage area

I ran once when I was 15-16, yep it ended in a crash.
5 tickets that day before I even had a license. Not fun and lesson learned, I suggest you take the above advice.
Don't run and show the cops some respect, who knows they might be the ones saving your life someday!!!!
