GADSON-ZX12 OUTRAN BY 1300 AT COMMERCE

I heard about the gasket sealer tho I have not seen it myself. Dude has one fast busa to be that heavy and still bet Gadson. Thanks for the information. The 12R is still a fast bike but a Suzuki is real hard to beat on the strip. Busa Forever !!!!

Looks like the Suzuki people at Daytona were not spewing any BS,.....

Busa Rules.......

Can't wait till the NinjaKnight tells his version - must be the mph limiter or something......

JUST SO EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT LLOYD WILLIAMS #3044 RED /GREY BUSA HAD LOW E.T. IN THE E.T. CLASS WITH A 9.44 AT 149,STOCK WHEEL BASE,LOWERED 3IN.,YOSH DUPLEX,AIRBOX MOD,AND BMC FILTER.HE WEIGH'S 193LBS WITH LEATHERS.RICKEY GADSON COULD ONLY MUSTER A 9.57 BUT DID GO 152MPH,ON A HEAVILY MODIFIED ZX-12.IF ANY BODY DOUBTS THAT YOU SHOULD OF SEEN THE GASKET SEALER AROUND THE HEAD AND CYLINDER.EVEN THE PRO'S CAN'T HANDLE THE 1300'S!

NAH AHH!~! I have a video!!! I think there was a Busa up at 10,000 ft... just hangin out waiting for prey...

To the guys that saw gasket sealer oozing from the motor on the 12,I don't believe it.Kawasaki sends the first 12 with a team to the track knowing everyone and their mother will be flocking the bike and they leave sealer all over the motor? That's something a backyard mechanic would do not a professional corporation would do or allow on their flagship or any bike they sell.Someone said the bike was heavily modified so lets hear what you think was done to it.Whats so hard to believe that a bike making 160 rwhp is going 144-146 mph without a pipe and 175rwhp @150 mph with a pipe?

Good point by WL on the sealer.

Other than that, this report sounds completely credible. It was witnessed by hundreds, so I believe it.

Who ever said or believes that Gadson would EVER go easy in a public drag situation for any reason at all, come on...

His reputation and image are at stake every time he stages.

-It's not Gadson's fast times that shock me...it's the astonishing times people are making on Busas.

Why hasn't Zook got a pro out there doing exhibition runs on a Busa like Kaw does for the 12?

It's starting to look like Brock D. on a stock Busa would send Ricky home.

Stop everything and hold the presses!

I would like to recant my past observation about conjecture!

If Dirty Pete believes it then I believe it!
(since Dirty Pete does not believe the part about the head gasket I will go back to not believing that but I believe everything else). I don't know why because I have no proof and I am taking out of my rectum right now but I believe stock Busa's regulary dip into the 9.50's on a regular basis without professional riders on board.

(note this is all subject to change if Dirty Pete changes his mind)

Look NK I said I'm astonished about this. It seems like all of a sudden Hayabusas dropped out of the 9s and into the 5s as if to meet or best the new competition.

I have no quick explanation. But the Busa runs were witnessed by the same people, right?

I don't think that Team Gadson would allow him to run against a stock looking Busa unless they were VERY sure it was actually stock. Or at least that it was equivalently modded. Otherwise the results of the race would embarrass his sponsor.

As it turned out the results embarrassed his sponsor anyway.

DP,
Maybe the times are dropping on the Busa because we are all learning how to ride it. And maybe it's also because every other day someone comes out with a better pipe, filter, tire, ect. that makes 1 hp more than last weeks model. Alot more Busa running around "stock appearing" every day. Also some pretty impressive Jenny Craig programs out there. A few of the lastest and greatest mods along with 30lb or more weight reduction = faster. I'm willing to bet your bike is a little faster than when you rode her home! This bike gets better every day. Just my .02 cents worth. Jack.

Unlike some people. Ninjaknight does not believe everything he reads on the internet.

He does enjoy watching some of you froth at the mouth and jump on each passing morsel of information as though it is the gospel.

I especially like the testimonial from the random poster who says he beat the 12. They could have been racing in first gear across the Dairy Queen parking lot for all some of you know but people are automatically patting him on the back like he won the nationals. The funniest part though is when others ask the guy who beat the 12 if he can arrange for them to race so they can beat it too! Think about it they want to race the loser, so they can brag about it? Hahahaha priceless!!

BTW does anyone remember the "inside" information" individuals were providing that the US mags were going to pan the 12 in this months issue? Let's face it this is all conjecture. Depending on your bias you can deem either the Busa or the 12 the winner it depends on where you get your gossip.

So, who has a list of what was done to the 12R?? was anything done internally?? do you know?? probally NOT! I dont care which is faster. they will both kill me in a heartbeat.. but some of you act as though your entire self worth is based on the Busa beating a 12R.. and thats just pathetic!

HEY I saw a 12R with extended wings take off at Minneapolis International this morning! passed a stealth bomber that my cousin was flying, I have pics and a video!@
