Gah! melting guages!

Leave the Busa at home in the garage.....drive your cage to school!! Problem solved! You should know better!

I use a trimmed bed sheet with some elastic sewn on the bottom. It covers the nose to the grab bar and doesnt hang to low. Stops the direct sun and isnt to heavy.

No my mom didnt make it.

The Double Bubble is the culprit. it almost turns into a magnifier. I usually will cover my dash with one of my gloves or somethig. I never park it in the sun without covering the tach and dash with something.

If you have an older Sportech V-flow chrome windscreen - that's prolly your culprit!

My guages are melted and so are my inners - the culprit - my Sportech V-Flow chrome screen.

See, they apply the Chrome on the inside of the screen; it is shiny on both sides. Well, you can imagine what the shiny, mirrored surface on the inside acts like - a magnifying glass! The sun reflects off the tank into the screen then onto the guages!

I called Sportech and they said that they've addressed the problem now. I need to send them the screen, pictures of the damage, and a quote to repair the damage. They'll replace the screen with a new one and would get with me on compensation.

So, I'm prolly gonna do all that this weekend and send it off.

That sucks!! I would sue and seek emotional distress damages... and if that don't work just say it hurts when you breath. That one works everytime!!

Anyone ever have any issues with the Magical Racing Smoke screen? I know they supplied a nice little cover with the screen, but I havent used it yet.

Is there no place at school for you to leave the cover and install it when you get there?
