Slow down on the mods. You do not need to do a pair valve removal for a stock exhaust. Switching to 87 octane is a good thing. Have you had your throttle bodies synced?

I was gonna ask the same question. Throttle bodies been synch'd.
Might wanna look for someone in your area to hook it up.
If your ever in South East CT give me a call, you can swing by and ill synch em for ya.
It'll take me 10 minutes tops.
There is one in here already, do a search. This is something I need to do also.How about a complete write up on how to synch throttle bodies?

On the real though, i stay quiet around my area so no worries.
I live in the city and regularly get about 38 mpg, which includes a mix of city and highway riding. The popping on deceleration seems unusual for a bike without any mods. Let us know what you find.

My gas mileage is 15-25 in the city wtF? and this is trying my hardest to get best mileage IE not goosing it and cruising at around 4k rpm. I just had it dyno tuned with yosh r-22 full system, power commander 5, small airbox and pair mod. There is surges in areas of 3-5k at part throttle and the tuner said it is the small airbox so I freaken ordered a new airbox! so Frustrating hope fixes mileage in city. On the freeway I can get it up to 48mpg. Any ideas its an 06 with only 10k miles I did put some redline fuel cleaner in it but that was like 3 tanks ago. And I saw someone mentioned something about water in the tank when I give her a wash I have to blow in keyhole and water comes out hopefully not going into tank. maybe fuel cleaner gunked up **** like injectors of fuel filter/pump I have never checked. After my new airbox comes in and have tuner fix lower RPM range and if surging and ****ty gas mileage persist in gonna completely take injectors out send them for cleaning and testing and check fuel pump displacement, screens, replace fuel filter with inline mod one.
I run 92 and average 38 mpgs and I am in it a lot.Lower octane cant give better milage as its flash point is lower and will burn faster.Slower the burn, better milage usually and more power is the way it was explained to me.I just cant see how a high compression engine can use low octane and not ping.I know its in the tune but low octane is low octane.Guess I am missing something here???
