Doing the valve adjustment. Just want to make sure that I am reading this correctly. The top .010 is inches and the bottom one .254 is mm? Thank you in advance

cant remember exact specs... but I understand that valves on these motors tend to tighten up over time.... something to bear in mind,

Valves tighten on most all engines with aluminum heads.
The metal seat is constantly being pounded when valves close, which over time, pushes the seat deeper into the head.
Very little, but makes a difference eventually.
The average sheet of paper is .004"

All yours are good according to your readings.
Good, and not uncommon, but always nice to know for sure.
I think this engine was work already as the valve head gasket has silicon on it. Also I had post before that my head has a number printed 1397 on it

if u got a manual... while ure in there.. u should make sure everything is tight and right... and replace any gaskets... Arent there round gaskets that go around the spark plugs??? I KNOW it a real PITA to do this stuff... But fresh rubber is nice.. checked mine ONCE... and ill never do it again... I really don't enjoy working on motorcycles anymore...

Maybe it had headwork done... but the seller would have likely been particularly proud of that... transforms a stock busa into something noticeably faster than stock... 1397? I know what ure thinking Jose.. RUN to the dyno.. thatll tell the tale of the tape.

I know the guy I bought mine from was bragging like a spoiled child about the 4-5 grand worth of headwork on this thing... sucks though cause I don't have the receipt for it

Yea I know... But the last owner only had it for like 4 month and fell in love of my GSXR 1000 and we trade.

Now that I have all dismounted and need to order a head gasket sparkplugs, PCV or a Bazzaz etc ,I will just send my ECU to Frank from POWERHOUSE. When I get all together I will take it to the Dyno

u could put 50 air/fuel gauges on the thing/datalog... a dyno/attentive tuner is most precise... along with someone who knows what they are doing,.
