Gear indicator issue

Hi All,

Test ride 200 miles already after the filter replacement and bike is in extreme good condition

So me and my itchy ass, I adjusted the gear lever a little bit for a comfortable position. And bam!

I got this gear 1>2>3(3-4-5)>4>5>6 (I got no Tre install)

So apparently at gear 3 maintaining the rpm, the gear did not jump but the display jumping between 3 to 5 (mostly between 3 and 4). As this cause the ecu to apply different maps.

I reset back the gear lever back to the default position and it still act the same.

Does adjusting the lever can cause this problem? Pure luck for me? I search the forum apparently many say this is a common and replace the gear sensor will do the fix.

The gear position sensor is in the engine behind the clutch basket.

Adjusting the lever would not cause a problem.

The easiest thing to do is check the wire and plug coming from the sensor make sure that it's seated properly. With no damage.

Hi Busa Quick

Thanks for advise. What a luck I have. Manage to solve so much issue and new issue came in.

Will follow ur method. I guess if the connection is okay means I gotta change the gear switch sensor ya.
