Gen 1 Hayabusa secondary fuel controller

Greetings folks!

Currently, my friend is building a turbo Hayabusa. It's a Gen 1 Hayabusa from 2001. The ECU was upgraded to a 16bit one.

As a little backstory, my friend already has a 1992 oil cooled GSXR1100 with a turbo in it. The 1100 is pretty much completely DIY except the parts that couldn't be handmade in the shop.

Now, for the Hayabusa, my friend is stuck a bit on the secondary injectors. We already made the plenum for those and fitment is not an issue, however, we ran into some trouble regarding the fueling control of those secondary injectors.

Are these only controlled by power commander? Are there any other piggybacks that are able to control them? We're located in Bosnia and Herzegovina and obtaining a power commander here is rather hard due to shipping being very limited (I ride a 2011 hornet 600 and it's pretty hard to get aftermarket parts).

I saw that RCC offers some sort of a secondary fuel controller in one of their turbo packages but I can't find it anywhere sold separately.

Would bigger injectors be a better idea than secondary injectors?

I appreciate any input and any advice you may have for us.

Best regards!

Welcome
you could do something like this cheap and easy.
I used it for years and other than reading in 1/2 scale (tune table at 4k rpm adjusts 8k on bike)

Or you could go with something like this

runs 8 injectors
Works perfect, but is a tight fit undertail

You already added secondaries to larger primarys are not a option caus 1000cc injectors with ECU reflash and a PCV-TPI workd well and is simple

I missread you have not YET added the secondaries
PCV-TPI with ECU reflash, You said it was upgraded to 16 bit, you must means 32 bit and 99-00 are 16 bit
01 is 32 bit with a different ECU
and 02-07 are treflashable
I ran ID1000's with a ECU editor injector compensation flash and this PCV-TPI for a couple years
need a Wideband to tune, or dyno
same with the split second box

Megasquirt ECU has it's own wideband o2 and can do some autotuning

Hi there @202mphbusa

My mistake, the bike is 2001 but the ECU was upgraded to 32bit one.

Do you have a way of calculating shipping to Bosnia and Herzegovina?

I'm interested in PCV-TPI. 02-07 gen 1 | Parts and Modifications or Split second. Secondaries controller | Parts and Modifications

Now, the first link is a Power Commander, does it have the secondary fuel module with it? I'm sorry for these noob questions, I'm just here for the knowledge of English language. I saw that PCV needs the secondary fuel module to run with it, so you can control the secondaries.

Regarding this, Split second. Secondaries controller | Parts and Modifications is it "only plug and play", or it needs an additional module for tuning?

Thank you very much for your time!

Edit: We did add the secondaries, but we can easily replace those, the secondaries are taken from the same gen/year hayabusa.

Split second box needs RPM input, Ground and 12v Power
Ugh Foreign shipping is a pain
someone asked me to look into Finland shipping and it was like $150
Is Bosnia the same cost?

PCV-TPI is the fuel control module it controls the OEM placement injectors and can see Boost

Here is an image of USPS shipping rates for my country. I'm not sure how big it is and which box it needs.

I guess that for our case, we might be better off with the portfueler for secondaries. I'll send you direct message if my friend decides to pull the trigger on the sale.

In case it's needed or helpful information, the turbo that's installed is RG 2560R

I'm jumping in the discussion late, but why wouldn't larger injectors be the best, first option?
Without a way to adjust the fueling levels, bigger injectors can only go a little further than OEM injectors with a FMU
I made 382 HP with Honda S2000 injectors and a TON of fuel pressure
Drivability down low was Poopy
Reflashed ECU to compensate for ID1000 injectors and pulled a little fuel with the PCV-TPI and she purred like a kitten

Yeah, you have to be able to tune it, but you have to deal with that using an additional set too. Mine idles fine with ID2600's but I'm running an aftermarket ECU. I switched to Gen1 and consider one set a plus.

I have sent you a private message regarding the sale of the Hahn split box, if possible or you're willing to sell it, check your messages. I'm not sure we can discuss it here due to the private details.
