Is it possible for these floats to get physically stuck? Reason I ask is that I fixed mine by siphoning all the gas out.
I figured I was going to have to pull the pump so I decided to go ahead and empty it. Did a bit of fishing around with the hose to be sure I got all of it. Got a full 5 gallons.
Decided to check it with no fuel and sure enough it was on empty.
Filled it back up a gallon at a time and checked it each time. Not very accurate but working.
Either the float was stuck or my pushing on the wires fixed it. Either way, saved me a lot of work.
