Would like to get $350 for forks and rear shock. All in good working order with no damage. Selling because i replaced them. They have 18,000 miles on them since I got it in 2009. One owner.

That's actually a good deal for a really good condition set of forks and a shock. I am trying to get a Gen2 shock for under 40 bucks currently. I have a few on ebay I am looking at and posted up on psychobike to see if I can get something.

From what little research I have done thus far, I have found that the Gen2 shock is actually slightly longer Gen1 is 12 7/8" and Gen2 is 13 3/16". The spring on the Gen2 is also stiffer, 14.5k/g compared to 13.1k/g of a Gen1. So therefore it has a stiffer spring and raises the rear roughly a quarter of an inch. Don't take that as gospel but it seems to be accurate. I do not know how different the internals of them are though...
If I bought one I would just have to install a gold valve and I would be set, no need for a new spring!
i do beleive in the past i have read about how GEN 1 and Gen 2 forks bottoms (the part the hold the radial mounting and axel) are able to be UNSCREWED and SWAPPED while keeping your same fork uppers and innerds. supposedly they are both FINE threaded and have a form of locktite on them that required heat the remove.
this would allow you to keep the GEN 1 you already have and buy either
a. bent gen 2 forks from a wrecked bike
b. perhaps bottoms from something else like a GSXR
also with this upgrade you could go straight for monoblocks and a GSXR wheel to have a WHOLE radical different feel!
