I sit on my butt and throw a foot under the rear wheel and tire, my third hand is my foot.

i used the block of wood suggestion. Worked like a charm. now back to riding.

Hi. I use a cut on an angle 2 x4. You just push it under the tire until the correct hight ro slid in the axle.
