gen II

I hate the '08's. I also hate 99 through '04's as well as the 06's and 07's. Now don't even get me started on color....

If there is, can't we leave that kind of infantile behavior to the Harley Big-Twin guys acting superior to the Sportster riders?

I have an '08, but I sure as hell don't have a bias. I'm loving it here, personally.

The segregation argument is a little bit specious, IMO. There is some merit in a 2008-specific sub-forum, in that it provides a spot to ask K8-specific questions without increasing the S/N ratio for the majority here who still ride the Gen I bike. While there are (obviously) a goodly number of similarities between the two bikes, there is also a good number of differences, as well. Too, the sub-forum provides a place for the jazzed-up newbies to ask their typical n00b questions without the typical backlash/ribbing/"do a search, n00b" replies from forum vets.

IMO it's not all that big a deal, really....

At least 90% of these posts are pure humor! I agree, the Gen II sub-section makes sense to me, it just puts alot of the 08 stuff in one place that works well for both Gen I and Gen II people. Everybody can get together on all the other forum strands (which is already happening). Love & peace, Raydog
 
The segragation posts have enlightened me. My first Busa is/was an 08 so I just kinda drifted to the 08 section. I think what is happening is the 08 noobs like me will realize that we too can be full blown Busa forum bubbas and will start to migrate to the real busa forum threads.

I have an 06 ZX10R besides the 08 Busa.

For the record, I think the first generation Busa (I owned 2 - 99+05)is better looking.

The first generation will always have my respect. Wish I kept my 99. And I had a bigger garage.

a) i see now how a '08 section can be better for looking up stuff for an '08.

It's more like the Jay-lo syndrome, some think her booty is very shapely, and round. Others think its too big and bulbous, I like her buns hun!
 
Part of the fun of this site is exploring all the forums and learning what is here for all. As the Gen II owners become more familiar with the site they will see the value in all forums not just the 08 forum. The gen II is just Gen I refined to todays standards. Just my .02. Happy New Year Org. members !
