Was wondering if anyone has changed out there velocity stacks on there gen 3. I have been looking at the carbonsmith ones and the ones from by bt moto .. not sure which ones to go with seeing if any one had some input.
The regular or the dimpled?unless you are racing and worried about hp at redline, the carbon smith stacks tend to have the better overall hp delivery
DIMPLEDThe regular or the dimpled?
golf ball theoryIMO dimpled is a gimmick to charge u extra. im not an expert in fluid dynamics so its just an opinion. the power delivery is has more to do with the length/diameter of the stacks vs the surface finish.
Have you seen one of the recent Brocks videos on YouTube? They swapped cams/stacks and tuned the bike made some big gains on top if I remember correctly. For me I like the power where it's at more in the middle, just suits most of the type of riding I do better. Stacks alone tend to move the power band around not necessarily make more power. Was wondering if anyone has changed out there velocity stacks on there gen 3. With all I've read on gen 3 flashes, if you add stacks, they need to be flashed for them...Ok..Yea I did see that video.. I plan on getting my Ecu flashed I’m leaning toward Moore mafia bit the only thing is if something is added after the tune I’ll have to have it re-flashed.. as of now I just have full exhaust and sprint air filter .. with it being winter time just trying to figure out what all I want to do to it before the flash
By the time you add stacks the cost isn’t as different, and if you pay attention to the YT videos Chris and Brock’s have all switched to using BT stacksMoore’s tune is about half the cost of BT and he specializes in Suzukis while BT does lots of bikes and is a favorite of the BMW crowd.
Plus with Moore you can add his pops and bangs option lol.
Those Brock's Super Stock cams got me thinking good, man. That's a considerable amount of extra peak power with a similar factory curve while retaining the stock timing for less than a set of good slip-ons. Almost 211 WHP on MR12 with supporting mods is saucy.Have you seen one of the recent Brocks videos on YouTube? You know if you do the cams you're required to do a video right? Not gonna lie, the cams got me thinking to.
