Genn 3 Ergonomic adjustments Help Needed

Does anyone have a gen 3 busa owners manual in pdf? my eye sight are no good for manual with small texts :(

I got the service manual, after reading the cruise control section i got even more confused. lol omg maybe i will never learn how to use cruise control.

I have to put my motorcycle modding spending on hold :( which means no heli bar or exhaust mods because i have just purchased a very expensive Fender Ultra Jazz Bass guitar on lay buy. I want to pick my bass guitar up as fast as possible.

Do you play in a band?

At cruising speed...

Press the cruise control lever (to the left) with your right thumb...

You'll see the cruise control icon light up...

Press "Set" on the grey button with your left thumb...

If you have the speed limiter activated the cruise will not set, this happened to me when I accidentally turned on my speed limiter. You can know this if the cruise indicator in the middle of the screen is a different color, I don’t remember exactly but I think green means the cruise can activate and white means the speed limiter is activated and you can’t use the cruise. Hope this is your fix.

A little correction to my previous reply, you can activate the cruise with the speed limiter turned on but you can’t set the cruise until the speed limiter is turned off.

Another tip, if the cruise is activated and the speed limiter is turned on then when you try to set the cruise the cruise symbol will flash every time you press the set button.

I'm glad the guys solved the problem.

I never had a bike with CC before the Gen 3, so it stuck me as a revelation that if you twist the throttle forward (opposite of acceleration) it suspends the cruise control. So much more convenient than having to pull in the clutch or fiddle with the controls. Then it resumes operation with the left "Res" (reset to earlier speed) or "Set" (set new speed) buttons.

Definitely love the gen 3 cruise, it was actually a huge selling point for me because my hands go numb easily.

I am in love with the white Gen 3, it reminds me of a big majestic horse and police bikes. I've been thinking about buying a set of white fairings but i dont have $5500 to spare lol.

First mod for me has to be = twin Yoshimura slip ons. I dnt want a full system because i now live in a police state, i need to be able to change cans real fast.

My harley engine blew up after using quiet baffles from Vance and Hines on a stage 5 engine mod (very stupid of me), i will never make this mistakes again. The engine blew up the same time Commyfornia sued Harley Davidson for EPA regulations, of course HD didn't have money to spare me a new engine after this debargo :) poor me had to shell out $10,000 for a new engine and the installation costs.

It didn't help much either being a non celebrity mom and dad owner of their Harleys or a non drug dealer friends of the stealership criminal enterprise bikie gang member. On the bright side of life i must have been in luck there was a lady who was in charge of warranty from the same stealership, she ordered me a brand new TFT screen ($5000) under warranty for my Ducati Panigale 1299 when it crapped out.

This is the reason why i bought this Hayabusa, the engine just refuses to die even after 30 years :) ! From now on when it comes to motorcycles, we are sticking with Japanese made. For those who don't know Ducati has a darkside, the engine will suddenly cut off and dies in the middle of doing normal freeway speed and they just cant fix it. It happened to a lot of people !

You will find a lot of agreement on this forum.

I love the Ducati Monsters and the Aprilia V4 is very cool. The British have great style with Triumphs in classic burnt orange and green, along with awesome triples. But barring a lottery win that would allow me some of these as mostly garage queens, my bikes have to have that Japanese reliability for my temperament.

You can kill metric engines but it takes a lot of doing that's for sure.....

If we look at all the mods done to our Hayabusas, there are some pretty high strung bikes that can be ridden to the store or run errands, that's a testament to how good these bikes are made...

One issue I'm starting to notice is the lack of tech support in our area, we are 2 hrs from a Suzuki dealership, the more technical the bike becomes the more chances it could need some sort of support from the "mother ship." For instance if someone around here has a gen 3 with the brake issue, it's a 4 hr round trip to get it checked...

I am in a similar situation, there is a Suzuki dealership a lot closer to me but there's only ghosts that go there, the shop is always mostly empty with occasional used bikes in the show room.

The dealership i need to go to is a long way away.
