feel you there on that one only 2 people have every had the chance to drive mine and it will probably gonna stay that way for a while, one of my friends wants the 08 so if he wants to swap for a day i'de be game for thatI don't care if they want to buy their own, I hate when they want to ride mine !!! My best friend don't understand WHY I won't teach his NEW wife how to ride a motorcycle....on my Busa, YEAH RIGHT !!
That is assuming you consider a supersport 600-1000CC to be a good "beginner bike" and it is not... You really need to research the numbers a bit and you will find some VERY sobering facts..I think you are wrong.Well the fact that somebody even posts such a question tells me that in the back of there mind they know that they shouldn't buy it.
Busa was my first bike, and while I never posted that quetion, mainly because I wasnt even aware of such a website like this existed,I never asked anybody what they thought because i didnt care,I knew what I wanted.I think people ask that question is because they hear alot of things, some true some not true.yeah its a fast bike, but not much fater then a 1k and just as easily hurt yourself on a 600 which alot of people consider to be wheelie machines, theres a mystique about the busa that makes some people affraid, until you ride one.
I dont knock anybody for posting that question, atleast they have come as far as this website to do a litle research before buying, more then I did.
It'd be boring without it.
That's still goin' on? Who'da thunk it?I had a thread posted here on why newbies post the "Should i buy a Busa for my first ever bike?" and then just go ahead and buy the Busa anyway.
I changed my mind and deleted the whole thing. My view of is now i just don't care and me posting about it is pointless. The threads will still happen, the search function with never get used, so me having any kind of opinion about it is irrevillant.
well,I definately dont agree with the first link you posted "should you wait until after the MSF course to ride a bike",I took the course and there were two ppl there that never road before, yes they failed miserably, instructors commented to them that the course isnt designed to teach you how to ride but how to ride safer!!That is assuming you consider a supersport 600-1000CC to be a good "beginner bike" and it is not... Lets say your 18 year old boy/girl has never owned a bike, you want him on a Busa right?
I think encouraging a brand new rider/bike owner to such a bike under any circumstances should leave you feeling responsible for that person if they wind up on the side of the road with an armco barrier wrapped around their body...

Red05 I think it is dangerous... I ask anyone here to go ride 1000 miles without opening up the throttle.. No one buys this bike to "putt around" on :zoom:
naw, just buy them a line up of cars to crashIt is our job as parents to teach our children the difference between right and wrong. This is where it starts. It is also our job to teach our children that there are consequences for their actions. Too many of us fail as parents, myself included. I am always trying to find a better way to teach my children and often find myself "Monday morning quarterbacking" my decisions. Would I let my child ride a Hayabusa as their first bike? Do I really need to answer something so obvious?
