Ghost hose found......help !?

If you ever install stereo systems in cars, you would never get any sleep with all the hidden plugs and connectors that go nowhere... There are so many items that the builders add or leave off that aren't always necessay for every country. It's just easier to make a one size fits all thing...

Same thing with computers. I opened my Dell xps the other day to blow it out and clean it . Same thing there were like twenty wires not connected and just hanging in there . These were however obviously supposed to be unhooked unlike the bike.

Mr Brown again thank you as from reading this org all of you are more knowing about Busas than I. I think you still believe there is an unconnected connection on the tank ?
There are two on the tank that I can find. One for drain, one for breather per the manual. Both of these have a hose connected to them, repeat as you can see both are connected to a hose. It is just that both of these hoses connect to a little plastic Y that connects to only one of the hoses which run all the way down and out. The other hose is taped together by a heat wrap on bottom end of bike flows up along with other hose and connects to nothing.
By your comment about gas spilling out would you mean or be thinking that there is a THIRD connection I have not yet found or just that you think the gas would come from one of the two I see and are depicted in pics above if nothing was on them ?
I have no problem letting the one hose as it seems to have come from Suzi do both jobs as long as Blanca doesn't have a prob with it.
I just don't see any other connection where gas would come out other than the two that are in pics.
If you look inside your gas cap, I think you will see that there is a space around the top of the tube where the gas nozzle drops in. This space is the drain to prevent gas from running out on the tank if you inadvertently overfill.
This is the way it works on the gen1, and I believe it's the same on the 2nd gen, but I've not seen it it person.....

Mr Brown yes it is the same. There is a space that would catch spilt gas. I visited the dealer today and saw three new Busas. All had the hose disconnected on my bike hooked to left connect on tank and one end of Y connected to other connect on tank. Right side of Y is not connected to anything so it appears that whoever put my bike together simply connected both ends of the Y and not the larger hose because maybe he knew it would not make a diff. Either way you still end up with a hose under there not connected to anything. 6 in one hand and 1/2 dozen in the other , same thing I guess.

Blanca always told me she was different from the other girls now I guess I have to believe her....
