Going Downhill !

as they say above dont use nuetral, let the engine do a lot of the braking, the high revs are fine. these are awesome bikes and can easily handle the revs, and you have a rev limiter to boot. no substitute for you getting seat time on your own bike.. as you get more experience you will find you will want to accelerate out of the turns going downhill anyway, better to start practicing now. Read Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Instash(sp) or one of Keith Code's books, they'll get you on track.

What is with all the unfriendly post here, he is only asking for our input, or at least some needed advice?

I think the Org has some great advice on this subject and we can help a fellow rider, be a noobie or not, Heck, I have only been on a Busa for a year myself.

I have often heard from other riders that the downhill blind curves are intimidating, and that is enough to wrinkle the brain into a set.

I think that given enough saddle time this will come to you and will make you a better rider.

Just take it one day at a time and let the bike and the road tell you where you want to be, and you will be there!
Just 2,
Bubba

+1 Good advice bro!

The whole "Your gonna die learning on a Busa," "You won't learn anything you'll be to skeered," blah blah is a bunch of bs loaded with my favorite!!
...wait for it...

:drama:

And you have how much experience? A lot of experienced riders on this forum would disagree with you. Try reading some of the "Busa a good beginner bike?" threads and maybe you'll find that you might just not know EVERYTHING quite yet.

I'm 25 years old. I've had my busa for 5 months. Before that I had a little sv650s when I was 20. I had it for 2 months before I wrecked it doing wheelies, being an idiot. Since then I read a lot of Sport Bike Rider articles and various other safety and how to ride articles. I needed a busa because I'm so tall I can't fit on anything else.

That being said, be very careful of this bike. Know how dangerous it is. Realize that the slightest twist can send your busa flying out from under you and maybe killing you. Take it slow & baby it for a LONG time.. after 5 months I'm just now starting to open up the busa's full potential. Congrats on the bike man. I think Everyone else answered your question about downhill twisties; gotta have some throttle for the suspension to ride right. Be safe, ride easy, act like you're invisiible because you are! :welcome:
