Goodbye Harley, Hello Busa

Nice looking bike, welcome to the madness! Try the Akrapovic Evo system for a serious gain in midrange power and extremely light weight and top of the line build quality.

Sorry man, welcome and sharp bike. Yeah got to ditch those stock cans, there is a beast awaitng to scream out of some good exhaust

welcome to the board..NICE BIKE .. you can try Chaparral Motorsports they are San Bernadino not to far from you...

also since no one actually stated what a full exhaust is

FULL Exhaust is replacing everything from HEADERS to CANS...

Bolt ons are just the CAN replacement

(BA BUSA @ Sep. 09 2007,20:37) If you want more power, you're gonna need a full system

Bolt ons just make more noise

OK, I'll open the can of worms.. What's the full system and do you have a SoCal shop you'd steer me to?

to the org! Nice to have another face!

A full system is when you replace the headers, mid-pipes and cans. The entire exhaust where it connect to the engine down.

Slip-ons/Bolt-Ons remove the stock cans after the midpipe (take a look at the muffler, you'll see it's bolted on). and replace it with another.

I haven't done it, but I heard if you go with a full exhaust you will have to remap your bike to really take advantage of it.

glad to have you on the org. Great looking bike. The more you ride it the more you will like it. If you want to get some nice sound, but you don't want to put a complete system on, go with some bolt on cans. I would recommend the Tuskigi Racing mufflers . First rate quality, great sound, some performance gains, and 30 min. installation. I love mine and everyone that hears them think they sound great. You can get them for a fraction of the cost of some of the other brands from site sponsor HPC. His info can be found at the top of the home page.

I was a Harley rider as well and now the proud pilot of an 07 blue missle like your own. Man what a freakin rush! Try the exhaust mod, I did it and was very happy with the sound results

If you want to replace the entire exhaust (full system) you will spend $700-$2000. Then you will need a Power Commander to adjust the air/fuel map ($250-$300) for the increased airflow.

Bolt-ons will sound much better than stock, but probably not as loud as you're used to if the Harley's in my area are any indication.

Bolt-ons will run you $400-$900 depending on what the can is made of. I'm getting ready to sell my Muzzy carbon fiber cans for $400 as I am buying a full system. They run $900 new, and are in almost perfect shape. PM if interested, I will be listing them in the For Sale section shortly.

Hey Bernard; welcome to our group, nice looking bike if all you want is to make a little more noise any good brand name set of slip ons will work ok if you want more power full system is the way to go however a full system will need to have a power comander installed and a good map done to get the most out of the system I went that way full system, power commander, airbox, dynotune. HP went from 158 stock to 174 with mods 6 months latter I went turbo 270 HP problem is it seems like I wasted the money for the first set of mods before I went turbo. my advice would be put on a set of slip on pipes and ride the bike for a while, and get used to it that thing has three times the power of the harley in stock condition. BE SAFE GO FAST

If you want something different and defiantly loud check out my current exhaust project:

I'm sure I can replicate this after I finish them up in the next week.

2007 Blue is the fastest color.

Thanks for the warm welcome and all of the great advice! After 7 days of ownership and 700 miles I just did the first service myself. I guess you could say I'm hooked. Thanks again to all.
