well that and the fact they already have been!

-Windscreen is a cheap/easy fix as mentioned.
-Don't know about the coolant but answer above makes sense.
-Surging that needs the clutch to compensate

sounds like a dealer thing. If no satisfaction with dealer you purchased from, make a few phone calls to others for input.

Welcome aboard.

i bought a brand new 05 that over heated with 10miles on it.i took it back and the thermostate had stuck from sitting in the crate,no damage to the motor thank god,but i did have them do a compression check to make sure.they do get air bubbles in them sometimes from the dealership topping them off before you take it home. but as far as the surge in your bike it sound like the fast idle is not come completely off.

Hey Everyone,
I just made a deal for my first Busa, my only other bike was a Honda VFR 1000 Interceptor. Yeah, it was a great learning bike...too tall in the saddle for me, and a bit on the heavy side with the tanks full...
It was love at first sight with the Busa...As a brand spanking newbie owner-to-be(waiting on the pension loan check), I appreciate these posts, and this board is great!
As for overheating issues, can you use Red Line Synthetic Water Wetter ?
Ask me about the 89 Vette I had...or the trip home from the Dover Downs race, in eighty degree weather, with the hood popped, the doors open, the roof panel out...oh, and the heater running full bore, trying to get the heat out of the engine, as we idled along for a three hour drive, on our way back to Jersey...it was made that much more fun by my wife,  who was melting along in the passenger seat...
I used it in the Vette and it served all the overheating issues. It worked in my Mustangs, too. Basically, you drain your radiator and fill it with water and the Water Wetter, instead of antifreeze. Antifreeze holds heat, and water will supposedly cavitate and boil in the radiator without the WW. With it, I was good to go, even when thrashing my cars at Englishtown, in blistering summer heat, with no overheating issuses.
I hope this helps

Harry

Thanx 4 the quick responses. It's not like the revs are going crazy, but it goes up and down enough that when i'm in slow traffic i have to play around with the clutch. It fluctuates from 900 to 1100 rpm's, the guy who sold me my busa has a gixxer1000 and he says that the same happens to him on his, that it is the injectors trying to compensate. But you know how salesmen are. I just had a Scorpio alarm installed in this dealer and i had to read the instructions to set it up. They had no clue how to work it after they installed it and it was activating itself while i was riding and would shut off the engine while i was cruising. At the same time i had them install the sliders, and they perforated one of the sides all wrong and now i have a huge gap on one of the sides. At least they ordered a new furring, but c'mon, 2 things i have done and two problems with them, not to mention the overheating!
And this is a known dealer here in Miami, it's not like i'm bying it down in some third world country, u know!
Please don't take offense to this but I've been in Miami enough to know that it straddles the fence on the "it's not a third world country" argument. Unless, of course you're a multi-millionaire and on't see the other 90% of Miami.
