Well, my opinion is that the Black inners on a Gen I just leave a bike with an "unfinished" look. I have had them done a couple of times and have been thrilled with them each time. I remember when I was coming back from Japan, I decided to have them painted and I ordered them through William at Race-ready. I didn't get them smoothed then, just painted - they had the orange peel look... well, I got with William again and had them done; they weren't ready for the Bash, but they are now.
William took a couple of knocks back in the day for low quality painting, but back then, I had no complaints and he treated me right, especially when there was a problem. Well anyway, I got the painted fairings today - I am putting them on tonight... I will post pics and a review when I am done.
