Grips

You might also want to look at these, I have used them and found them comfortable and long lasting.  But, they have no bling factor.  http://www.rstc.net/ourygrip/html/motorcycle_grips.html
You got me all wrong, bro'! It's not all about the bling. There has to be some usability that goes along with it. Thanks for the link.

Figured I'd send a pic of the current Pro Grips, not bad, but not perfect either...

Check out Momo motorcycle grips, they are to say the least SWEET... I just cant find out where a distributer is, or how much they are...Let me know if you have any luck finding out either.

Sage pointed me to that site, but you're right there is no price or distributor info on there.  I will probably keep looking, but will do a combination of the Galindo and Pro-grip stuff for now. Thanks though. I'll let everyone know if I find out anything else.

Thanks. Sounds like that price them right out of my league.

Thanks, DJ. I'm always lookin' for stuff. You know how it is. They aren't bad, but I really like those caps for the forks.:;):

BigBSBusa,
Here is a pic of the ones that I put on my 04LE.  They add a little bling, but are functional as well.  With the stock grips, if I wanted to stick this thing to the stops, I had to loosen my grip and roll my hand a little around the throttle.  Now, if I want every bit of it, it is at my command W/O loosening my grip.

BTW, pic sux, the wife is the graphic artist/photographer.

Don

PS.  As far as going all the way to the kill switch mine doesn't, but could have & should have.  I didn't trim the inside rubber piece that would have allowed me to put it on to w/i a mm of the kill switch and I didn't think about it until, I had already glued the stupid thing on.

I have the exact same set. I haven't put them on yet, but I like the looks. I currently have the Harris Busa grips on and they are more comfortable than stock. The only thing is that I have this nice set of chrome bar ends and I like the look of them. The only problem is that the chrome grips don't allow for the use of bar ends because the end of the grip is closed. I'm considering a small mod, but will have it done by a machinist friend of mine where I can have the best of both worlds. If I can't come up with a feasible solution, then I'll sell them to ya for half of what I paid for them. Let's say 20 or $25 maybe?

That's only if you really like them. I'd much rather see you happy with them than me unhappy with them and the grips rotting away in a box in my closet.

I appreciate it, BA, but I have the same dilemma. I have a set of chrome bar ends that are going on, so I am going to see if what I have will work. I have the Harris grips too, but don't know if they will work with the chrome bar ends. I figure grips are a very easy thing to take care (not as easy to find though), so I guess that's a mod that can go on and on. I'll show ya'll what I got here in a couple weeks.

You put a "blush" smilie up at the end of your last post. I hope the grips you have aren't "PINK" or no poop like that.

Heres the new grips and the bar ends. I don't have the screws to put the stock ones on, but I will have them soon enough. This will give you an idea what they look like at the very least. You can tell the bar end is not connected. Man I like those chrome inners.

Yeah, but those chrome inners are very expensive to have done. Cost about as much as a set of the carbon fiber ones.

In the neighborhood of $600.

Hey BigBS, did you ever decide on those grips ... if not here's another option from ebay.
