As of this morning she is no longer a virgin. As many of you know I ride about 75 miles one way to work. It is interstate thru the mountains of Arkansas. 75 Degrees this morning, no wind and no cars for the next 2 miles or so. I tucked in and buried the speedo needle. Held her at 180 or so for probably 8 to 10 seconds. Buffeting wasn't too bad. I wear a Shoei RF-1000 Busa Bucket and a Hein Gericke Textile Jacket. Rolled out off the throttle, settled back into 80mph (normal cruising speed) and went back to "rocking" side to side (reduces flat spot in the middle of the tires).

Great feeling, isn't it! I did almost the same exact thing on a semi-deserted frontage road between Reno and Carson City yesterday, tucked in, dropped her down into third and nailed it! My 29 year old son thinks I have a loose screw between the ears.....oh well, some peeps get old way before their time!

I still can't seem to build up the curage to go over 165. Maybe it has to do with me running out of road...

HAHAHA LOL

That part of the interstate is patroled by air and I can outrun the state police chopper any way.

But it was very funny Ron.

Especially since I teach at the Police Academy and they all know who I am, where I live and work.

A neverending thrill! At least not until you run into the popo or out of gas!

I would love to see a video of the Sherrif's Department chopper pilot when the Busa started pulling away from him....
