h.i.d. problem

i have a set of hid's on my bike and i put a switch on mine to turn them on when i want to, but when i turn them on the gauges go crazy..... gas goes over full, temp drops, and rpms go to 0......... ? any ideas ?

when you put that switch in, is it just to mainly turn off the low beam ballast only or are you trying to switch both hi and low beam ballast off ?

i would suggest to only use the switch on the low beam side, because you already have a switch on the high beam side. and you just need to splice in the switch on the blk/wht wire that was going to the light/lowbeam from the bike..

just dont cut/splice any of the wires that go from the ballast to the HID light

make sure you're using at LEAST 14 gauge wire, and DO NOT try to interupt the ground circuit.

Ha, I almost did that. What was I thinking?

ok i fixed it.... moved the wires as far away from the gauge cluster as possible.... did the job !

Thanks for the update I will try moving my wires I guess..
