What is the "switchback mod"?

The switchback mod is when you replace your turn signal light with a set of white leds giving even more light when riding but that blinks orange/white -- orange/white when you want to turn.... make a search on the forum, there is a post with pics somewhere...

I use two 4300k H7 bulbs on the XX which is my endurance riding bike. I installed them back in 05' and will never ride without HID again. When your eating miles at high speed at night, they make a huge difference. Saved my a$$ many times.
