I am in the garage installing a turbo on my Busa. As I am turning a screw driver tightening my plenum down, This 20ish year old kid walking his pit yells at me. " Hey! you work on bikes?" I yelled back Ya, you? He tells me " Naw, I just ride em." So I say what do you ride? He says a 05 Hayabusa. I then point at my bike, he doesn't even know mine is a Busa. By now he is in my garage telling me about his twin turbo with a super charger. And How he has been 214 mph. I told him to bring it by I would really like to see it. He hasn't been back.
 
Sounds like the 350lb guy that runs over 200 all the time on his worn out oil burning 2000 around my town. Lol.

so he knew the hayabusa was bad ass, but had never seen one in person. beautiful.
 
Whenever I talk bikes with obvious wanna be Squids, I tell em I have a 1300 Gixxer and it's extremely slow. I hate pissing contests, especially cause "They know EVERYTHING". I'd just rather listen to them talk and throw up threads just like this one for us to enjoy! Love this forum!! :beerchug:
 
btw - if it was Owens he'll be back on his Aprilia 50cc, but the Busa is across town in mums garage locked and he lost his key on the way to unlock it because he was riding wheelies and jumping curbs!

I was at a gas station a few years ago, Busa out at the pump, im in line waiting to pay with a friend. I hear, "Yo, nice bike" I reply "thanks man" this guy is currently buying his second or third 40oz beer of the day.
Him- I got a bike..
Me- Oh yeah, whatcha got
Him- Big Boy leven-hundred, does like 200
Me- Wow, i wish i had something that big, that 250 im on just isnt fast enough.
Him-Yeah, you need a big boy leven hendred like i got
Me- I sure do...

Same thing happened to me when I took my MSF class. I took my helmet cuz I didnt want to use a 'loaner'. A kid there saw it and said 'I got a Busa' . I said great what yr.
He says its an 09. I got the Blue...???
Blue I say...Hmmm.. sure its an 09 I ask....
Oh yeah...I got it about six months ago..Its blue and I already have chrome wheels,chrome this chrome that, big bore kit, this that others.
Now I dont doubt somebody may have more $ than brains and he was young so maybe something was wrong but a little true.
It was when he said he had 'chrome gaskets' coming for it that I lost confidence...:rofl:
 
You should have asked him if he had seen the chrome coolant and chrome headlight fluid while you were at it. Because we ALL know that the cool kids are ALL rocking that stuff this year.
