ive been regular with maintenance on the bike and it currently has 22300 miles on it, recently it has had to crank 5 or 6 times before it starts, what should i look at first, thanks for your advice.

Many questions: 1)Hard start after riding for awhile?
2)Has the bike been siting for awhile?
3)Any recent maintenance done..cables/wires could be loose?
4)???

sorry about taking so long. it hard starts all the time even after i just stop from a ride to get gas, i know i'm supposed to look at the plugs, maybe its time to change them? aside from that i'm not sure what to look at. thanks for the input.

Thats a great place to start. If you don't do preventative maintenance like tune-ups along with other things, you will greatly reduce the reliability of your bike. Pull your plugs and match them for wear condition using this chart-

If it looks like any condition besides normal or worn, you need to find out what is causing it and the hint is in the description in the chart. When you're done with that, post back here.

When was the last time that you changed the plugs ??? They are
reccomended to be changed every 7500 miles. You can get 15,000
or more on a set of plugs, but if you have never changed them...guess
what...............you need NEW ones :cheerleader:

i haven't checked the battery yet, money is a little tight right now so unfortunately its between maintenance and gas to get to work.:mad2:
