Did it on my 02,made me feel better.Peace of mind is essential as a bike owner! Did hear about quite a few cases(
) of this happening back in the day.Mine did kick back twice,one minor and one ugly.Try not to let go of starter button before it has fired up,duh,that caused the ugly incident.Sounded like mechanical mayhem
