Hayabusa-gixxer mod

Hi guys
first post here so I thought I'd post a few pics of the bike, (hope they come out ). The bike is an 08 busa with a 07 gixxer rear end which I modified to fit. No tubular frame just the stock gixxer sub frame and plastic. I also fitted gixxer front forks and controls to the bike. Gives me a better feel for the bike under hard riding conditions. I think it came out looking ok, plus the weight saving was real nice too. I'm probably going to sell the bike in the very near future but thought some of you might find it of interest.

Well folks I'm sad to say that this will be my last post. The bike sold today and the guy just drove her away.I must appologisae to you guys who wanted pics of certain parts of the bike,but with the quickness of the sale I did not have a chance to get this done. Although my time here was short I really enjoyed being a part of such a great forum. I also want to thank all of you who contributed to the thread, it's always nice to know that the work is appreciated............it meant a lot to me. I hope you don't mind if I drop by from time to time just to keep up with what's going on. So, wherever you are, I hope the motorcycling gods smile on you and keep you safe.

That's so sweet. I just came back from bike week last weekend and I didn't see not one buse done like this. How much was it to do the back? I was thinking about doing mine for the next bike week. Pm me if u can.

i know greggs customs sells a kit and i believe its around $800? i wanna see what i can do it for..... a kit is too easy lol

idk why anyone would do this. the tail is way to small for a busa. it looks weird

see to me the stock tail looks huge, like cruiser huge, i think the 1000 tail makes it look like a rocket, and it wont look weird going 200mph just my .02

it looks great. only thing I dont like is the huge gap between the fender and tire... maybe someone could do this mod and them make a custom undertail exhaust for the bike??

Any chance of a photo of the parts and dimensions? i would like to do this mod too but without using the gregs subframe as i will have passengers.

PS, do all GSXR 600-750-1000 subframes fit?

That's a great looking bike!! How much weight di du shave off by using the 1k parts?
