I took more pictures of a black 57 Cadillac Eldorado with a stainless steel roof that I did at the track. The car was stunning and in perfect condition. It was 1 of about 800+ made that year. It might have been the same one I saw about 12 years ago at Murrieta Air... it's an AC shop in the area. One day I. stopped there and Dale Armstrong was there and he was driving one of these in immaculant condition. I got to meet Dale that day and listened to him talk about the politics and favoritism going on inside the NHRA under a different guy than the one that runs it now. So, who was Dale Armstrong? He was Kenny Bernstien's crew chief for 16 years and was tuning Kenny's car in 92 when it was the first dragster to go over 300 MPH in the 1/4 mile.
I did take some pictures and video when I was in Vegas 2 weeks ago... I sent some Pomona and Vegas pics to Red but it is his option to post any of them.
As far as the ride to Pomona and to Vegas.. it turned out like the planned ride pictorial shown here in this thread... multiple invites went out... then I ventured off by myself.
I had some similar family stuff that sucked but I didn’t get my wheel til yesterday so I wasn’t going to ride anyway. I missed all the Hayabusa stuff, but I had a buddy check in for me and get my tshirt, hat and stickers.
