Hayabusa maintenance more expensive than others?

You can't finance a bike without full insurance, can you? I mean, who would lend you that kind of money without a guarantee?
Suzuki's financing company does just that ;)
That "financing" you speak of is just a credit card. It IS NOT a vehicle loan. Once the first year of teeny payments is over, you'll be paying out the a$$ in interest on it.

Trust me, you're digging yourself into a hole that you might never get out of.

You're in college, right? I'm guessing you're not a business major.

He'll learn after he buys it on the Suzuki credit card. After the first year of $99 a month, he'll get the statemet with 25% interest on it. He may as well get insurance because he is going to be able to almost buy 2-BUSA's for what that Credit Card loan is going to cost him....

a payment for a busa with a guy with an average credit financed for zero down and for 5 years will be around 225 a month.Who can afford to pay that and also 400 a month for insurance? Ud be paying for 2 busas basically
If you can't afford the insurance, you can't afford the bike.  I don't care what kind of bike you are buying.  Riding without insurance is irresponsible.  Irresponsibility will get you killed on a Busa unless you are very lucky.

... a bunch of posts ...
im willing to pay as much as 225 a month for insurance. Not more than that.Find me a place that gives it to me for less than 225 a month and ill put full coverage on the bike.It would be more irresponsible for me (and my bank account) to pay more than that for insurance on a motorcycle  thats costing me barely 210 a month with zero down for 5 years.
Unless you have some Mad dough alying around your gonna have to finance it. The bank will make you carry full coverage. Buy a used bike somewhere.

Buying a bike on Suzuki credit is bad news. No insurance is bad news. Think it through. Don't bury yourself in debt. Finish your education, and everything will fall in line. Be patient.

Yes but after 1 year the payment triples and you have to pay 25% interest.  After 5 years you'll have paid $20,000 for a $10,000 bike.  It'll also be stolen within a matter of months from the parking lot of the apartment complex you live in.

<span style='font-size:15pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:red'>Sign me up dawg...I can afford $99 a month!!!</span></span>

Here's what that $99 credit card deal caters to.  Not sure if it's stupidity passed on by parents or just the side effects of a generation being force fed Ritalin.

All of the insurance talk aside, the bike is fun to work on...invest in an owner's manual and do the work yourself...if I can do it, anyone can!

Or download the manual from

I've never paid for ANY routine maintenance on my Busa aside from the cost of mounting a rear tire.  Ride it a bit more easily and you won't be paying to have a new tire mounted that often...don't listen to what these guys say...going through a new tire in 2000 miles, blah blah blah...
That thing you are resting your right hand on can be twisted.
