Hayabusa not revving past 6k?

Hello, I have a 2017 Gen 2 Hayabusa with 15k miles on it, I recently swapped my throttle cables and then it suddenly started just not reving past 6k rpm’s, like it sounds like it’s got launch control and the tach bounces between 4-6k rpm when it does, I’ve read other similar threads that say it’s fuel pump but could a fuel pump really go bad overnight? Just the day before I was doing pulls just fine with all the way to 11.5k… I disabled my quickshifter and my power commander and it gave the same issue.

No FI lights or anything, I will be getting fuel preassure testing stuff in the morning to be sure but it still seems a little odd that it would just go out on me like a light… I will leave an attached gif so you can atleast visualize what it’s doing, as I do not yet know how to upload videos. Any help is much appreciated to get my baby to tip top shape again, will answer all questions as best and as quickly as I can!
(Also, bike is daily ridden, so it does not sit and is garage kept)

Welcome....

So before you changed out your throttle cables it ran fine?

The answer is in that process....what was wrong with your original throttle cables?

My bike is a 2009 with many more miles on it and my throttle cables are original and perfect......

Yes it ran absolutely perfect, and the originals weren’t as smooth anymore and the throttle became harder to twist over time, and it still just seems very very strange that it suddenly would have a 6k rpm rev limiter after just throttle cables? Unless somehow it’s not fully opening the bodies but even then it doesn’t add so well

If it were me, I'd be retracing that process to check and recheck what was done.....something was either put in wrong or like @sixpack577 says, not connected properly...

Sounds like the rev limiter has somehow been reset to 6k revs..?
Try this.. remove the ground cable from the battery for 10 mins to reset the ECU.
Then reconnect it and see if that sorts the problem.
Good luck. . .

UPDATE FOR EVERYONE
okay so I ran a fuel pressure test and it turned up good, but I did notice my kill switch would act funny, I took it apart and notice the housing that holds the actual copper piece for the switch was damaged, so sometimes the kill switch wouldn’t work, I guess the bike maybe through itself in a limp mode because of it? maybe ever so mini vibrations cut the fuel pump, but not long enough to completely kill the bike? Not sure, but once I reworked the button and hooked it all together, she revs all the way out to redline, I think I may be the first person to ever have this specific problem before but I found the solution

Thank you to everyone who was willing to help me!! God bless you all!
