I remember those! My dad retired as a Lt colonel from the US army. Did ROTC to get through school. Later in life spent two weeks every summer some place with the reserves. Not a bad deal for a teacher.
I still have a pair of wooden ones. They keep my Corcorans in shape. My riding boots don’t need them but I don’t polish them either.
I used the wooden ones, as well. Important to get the polish just right.

Need A Number Plate For The Local Strip | 1/4 Mile
I have been to the drag strip multiple times. They are now requiring a number plate. Instead of the "shoe polish" like stuff written on your bike they want a plate with your number on it. If you guys are using them, where do you get one?
