military E-5 under 8yrs. Wife and 3 kids.
Not making much at all
I remember my days in the military. I knew exactly what was coming in every month and always had it spent. I was terrible at budgeting, I never did it. Now my paychecks vary greatly. One week I may make double what I made the week before, so I budget for always making the low end and when I make more, it's gravy. biggrin.gif If I had done this a long time ago who knows where I'd stand.
What's a budget?
Budget means.
[n] the amount of money you let your wife know you have so she can spend it, does not include busa mod and gas money which should be taken before the wife sees the paycheck
[n] a summary of intended expenditures along with proposals for how to meet them; "the president submitted the annual budget to Congress"
[n] a sum of money allocated for a particular purpose; "the laboratory runs on a budget of a million a year"
[v] make a budget

Net worth??? debt? definately in the red!!!!! I think about 115k negative or so. But I swere I have made every Busa payment on time.:):) laugh.gif

Well there are so many ways that can be looked at to bad my gross income is mostly spent by the end of the year granted it goes back into the buisness I asked my lawyer that finalize my taxes if i could write me busa off since i paid cash for it he told me yeah i could if i used it for buisness like running for parts and such granted you can't get many combine or tractor parts on a busa but i can haul about 8 oil filters on it if i put all the bags on biggrin.gif

Maybe Cecil can start calling his Sunday northruns guided tours and call it a small business and depreciate his bike and accessories as 100% business expense.

Hell yeah, it would be like owning and operating a strip club... thumbs-up.gif Hootie Hoo's everywhere, auditioning "NEW TALENT" He he he... Hoo... But then again surounding yourself with Ego-Centric, Materialistic, bitter, man hating little women could get OLD Real Fast... laugh.gif

This poll is not nearly what I had guessed. I figured the majority would have been in the 45000 to 60000 dollar range. What's really shocking is the number that at 100,000+ income range. Granted the cost of living varies from state to state. My best guess is that the majority of those 100g people live on the west coast. People that work at the ConocoPhillips refineries in Cali make almost double what I make for the same exact job. And actually I'm basing this on individual income rather than total household income. Kinda cool.

dang rich bastards..... tons over 100k.... man.... guess I'm living like a bum. cool.gif laugh.gif

Just keep in mind... Money Doesn't Equal Happy.... smile.gif I know more miserable folks making over $100K then those making less. A crap load of money can also mean a crap load of hard work, No time to relax, no time for the wife, the kid, your friends... etc. Next thing you know your sitting on a big pile of money, all alone, no wife, few real friends, poor health... Fug that, I'll work at freaking circle K if it makes me happy... laugh.gif

That's the secret. Do what makes you happy, not what might make you money... Enjoy your work? And every day is a freaking Saturday... It's all good... thumbs-up.gif
