i've experienced lately some dangerous encounters with
other bikes and cars. coming home from the bash on I-24W
i was in the left lane to exit on I-59S. rolling along @ 90MPH a guy on a harley with ape hangers passes me in my lane between me and the concrete retaining wall. i didn't even see him coming and if i moved in my lane i wouldn't be posting this right now. similar incident on sunday with another harley and a mustang. i'm thinking those guys are in a bar somewhere telling their friends how they smoked a busa! what are they thinking? has anyone experienced this. i've been feeling like a target lately. on sunday i was just cruzing along and the same thing happened twice in one day. guess i have to check my mirrors more often.

i had a sport bike pass me in my lane as i cruised along, had i shifted in my lane... i was going about 70 the other bike about 100.

i have to constantly check my mirrors. and for those other riders who pass me in my lane, i like to hang back for a minute and then pass them wide open in 3rd. it gives them a good jolt and a dose of their own medacine!

You need to know what's around you at all times. I've only been passed in lane twice by people I don't know. One sport bike and one Hardley. They are morons with no respect for their lives, let alone the lives of anyone else.

Seriously though, be carefull.  Gotta check the mirrors!!  I had a id10t on a sport bike of some kind blow past me in my lane in heavy traffic.  I was doing 70-75 and he must of been above 100.  He keeps passing on the sholder and splitting lanes. Some people are too stupid to have a motorcycle!!!

That has happened to me before as well. Talk about a suprise. Like Coldstone stated, I check them every few seconds now.

I am always checking my mirrors. If I see a bike around, I watch to see where he is. I assume he will try to share my lane, or try to show off. I mainly watch my mirrors for cars. I want to keep cages off my azz. Everytime I brake, I check following distances behind me and look for an escape incase someone does not see me braking in time.

coming back from the bash a truck tried to merge into brians and my lane. other than that nothing lately. there's always one of the road. be careful bro's & sisters

If I come up on another motorcycle going slower than me, I follow for a minute or so to see if they will exercise some road etiquette and move over. If not, I pass them anyway, giving as much room as possible. If I have someone approaching me from behind at a higher speed, I move over for them. I don't mind anyone riding radar interference for me!

My riding group of four comes across harleys holding up traffic all the time. Usually the people that do that are posers, not real riders. Real riders mover over. The posers act like they own the road and want to inflict their will on anyone that would like to get by.

Needless to say, they get smoked, lol. This happened this past Sunday. The Harley guy was having a sh*t attack and we pulled over at a gas stop five miles up the road and I was ready to have a problem with the guy, but for all his bluster and BS, he just rode by...

Why can't we all just get along?

I was passed in my lane by another car. Then I followed and followed until he stopped at a red light. I pulled to his driver's door and asked him WTF you @^$#*^&%(... He looked at me like a moron with nothing to say so I hammered his roof with a closed fist and left a good size dent. Then I took off to never see him again.

I just drive fast enough that I don't have to worry about checking my mirrors

Here in Socal, they even do this when I'm splitting lanes on the HOV lanes and I'm usually going 60mph.
