Haya's in the Hills 2020!!!! May 10th-May17th 2020

I hope at this time we are finding all of you well and healthy with no issues. As we are getting closer, folks are wondering the reality of being able to do this event. At this time i am aware some are doubting it can be accomplished. I understand that and given the news of past couple days and huge push since the numbers are not anywhere near what they PANIC predicted, we very well may see the national "stay at homes" be lifted by May 1st. That being said. i am not calling it yet. We still have weeks to go before even the reservations (if there would even be a problem canceling anyway) are "required" to be canceled one week out. Give a shout out so we know who still going to go if this gets lifted as it appears it will be.

after digging around...YES THE DRAGON IS BACK OPEN TO TRAVEL AND CHECKPOINTS ARE DOWN!!.. i spoke to the manager at the Phillips motel today and he has been hearing (because TN side hotels are open already) that it might be by the end of the week, or at latest May 1st they may clear to open up!!!.... so all the reservations (unless you canceled ) are still good and being honored and if you did cancel, there might be openings or no issues reestablishing reservations!! so again it looks like we are one step closer to A GO!!.. ill keep you all updated!!

as of this time.. NC is supposed to be open up as of may first.. .this is 10 days before we even head down!! SC, TN, GA are all already open. Unless something truly stupid happens ..i am planing and preparing to go!! I will not ignore reason if graham county wont let us even stay there... nothing i can do about idiots. but at this time that is NOT supposed to be the case as of May 1st!!.. folks are contacting me and still planning to go once the all clear given!! I will keep you informed!

currently the Governor of NC (and only reason we are paying attention to his orders is the motel is in a NC county and have even imposed stricter restrictions than what the governor suggests) is to start opening up the state now may 8th.. two days before we go. The order allows counties to keep stricter rules in place. (graham county has been really bad on NO TOURISTS).. SOO at this time i am going to reserve a cabin in TN (who is fully open) that will be BIG enough for all who want to come and join us. Please let me know if you are planning on coming (and i haven't got info from you in PM) and wish to stay with us in a cabin in TN and still do this event!!!!

Chris, Is the cabin close to Tellico? I plan to meet up with you all and will be coming from Tellico each day. Ill keep up with your post. Thanks.

i am looking in that area but haven't
