As the passenger on a Busa, here are my thoughts. I love riding with Dan. The first summer he got it, we rode 700 miles in one day. The only complaint is that my knees were sore from the riding position by about mile 500. That was on the stock seat.
We've since gotten a Corbine with a back rest. I hate the back rest but love the seat. Since it's higher, my legs are straighter and my knees don't hurt as much. The back rest just got in my way since I try to lean with Dan when we're riding so I never used it anyway.
I haven't ridden such a long day since then, but I would again. I've ridden 2-up with Dan on all the roads at the Bash - the Dragon, Cherohala, Hwy 28, Hellbender, etc. - and look forward to it as much as when I ride by myself. It all depends on her level of confidence.
However, this type of riding isn't for everyone. If she wants a more leisurely ride, it may be a hard sell on the Busa, but not impossible.
BTW - I was there when that pic of James and Juli was taken. It was pretty awesome.
