Hopefully, you're near enough to a brick & mortar shop that sells the top brands. They all have their pluses and minuses and you're going to have to decide which attributes are most important to you ... comfort/fit, noise, weight, maintenance, and looks ... good luck Bro ... I have 4 different brands and I still have a hard time deciding which is the best overall lid for me.

We went riding this weekend and everytime we got on it I would look back and he would have one arm up over his hold'in his LID on.

Arais are a unique beast in that the different styles of helmet change what type of head they are designed to fit. Some fit round heads better than others, others fir ovals better than round, etc. Rather than justy going by cost on an Arai, you need to make sure it will fit (and be comfortable after a while) on the size/shape head you have. You definitely need to try different Arais on before settling on a certain style, if an Arai is what you are leaning towards.

You need to go shopping!!!! You need to try on just about any lid that you can put on your head!!!! Arai makes 4 different shell shapes!!!! Shoei does as well. So just go helmet shopping and try on as many different lids that you can get your hands on!!!! Everyone's head has different shapes, so it comes down to, what are you comfortable with!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try Arai or Shoei. Try them both on and see what one fits better. The have different shapes.

Check Suomy, Shoei, Arai, Shark..  Just do a google search.  Look to spend between 300 and 700 bucks for those helmets though!

I think I have 11 lids now, its a tight race between My X-11 and my Suomy Extreme Spec 1R,both cool very well and the fit is perfect,I wear earplugs now but without, both are noisey.:: NJ.

I have the Arai quantum haga replica. Good venting and fit , but the visor change out sucks. If you don't ever plan to change the visor it's great , But if you do beware.
You will hate it after changing the visor once or twice
