I didnt come up with much by searching...cept its a problem. The bike I just buoght sat for 6 months of so, and Im assuming my probs are because of that. I can start the bike (1st time of the day) and it idles etc fine. I can ride as long as I want....but once I shut it off and it sits for 10-20 minutes...if I go to ride again theres no idle at all, and if I ever let it under 3000-3500 it dies and is hard to restart. VERY ANNOYING! Not sure why it happens the way it does. Only way to avoid it is to leave teh bike sit for 3-4 hrs between rides...meaning I cant stop at a store, or gas etc.

SO...whats involved with checking the filters. 6 of em I hear?? Do I need to check all? Which is the most common? Where can I get new ones?

The bike is at the dealer now gettin some TSBs doen including the starter clutch, and cam thingy. Im somewhat mechanically inclined on cars, never worked on a bike though. Help?

Almost sounds electrical. Something is heating up & causing high resistance. If it were fuel it would probably be happening all the time.

Daughter's dirtbike had similar problems. Ohm out the coils on the bike (unfourtunately when it is hot), I'd start there.
