Other than a lawnmower I've never worked on anything with an engine. Bought a manual and did it the first time, took about 2 hours. Doesn't take near that long anymore.

having a little trouble finding a 2006 manual! Amazon and Barnes&noble have a 1999-2004 edition.

There's really nothing different between those years (except that the first two years were unrestricted Busas) all the way up to 2007...the only thing Suzuki changed for the Gen Ones were paint schemes LOL

But yeah, downloading it is easy and free

Mission accomplished! Very easy! After plastics removed, it only took me about 30 minutes to complete the oil and filter change. went with Mobil1 4T. many thanks to Everyone that provided advise. Thanks Tony. Thanks VaBusa for the tin foil tip, I didn't get one drop on the pipes.

Invest in a good torque wrench, and replace the crush washer every time!

No need to remove any fairings. Just undo the bottom half of the lowers and reach through the bottom.
