The madness of fun anyway.

Those evil trackdays and their side effect called tires...
I can't stop!  Already have 13 trackdays paid for and now I'm considering 1 or 2 more at Reno.  I shouldn't spend the money.  But seeing as the chances that I'm moving to DFW Tower, I'm thinking this might be my last oppurtunity to ride some tracks I haven't ridden before.  Its only money, spend it while I'm young right?

Laguna is out because of stock exhaust requirements and its expensive.
Sear's Point is out because its expensive.
But Reno is only $170 a day...

So lets break down the madness;
Pahrump - $195
Pahrump - $195
Buttonwillow - $130
Buttonwillow - $130
Thunder Hill - $200
Thunder Hill - $180
Buttonwillow - $100
Buttonwillow - $100
Miller - $290
Miller - $290
Miller - $259
Streets of Willow - $100
Big Willow - $100

If you go to DFW, we'll get to do some riding together. Eureka Springs AR is pretty close to the half way point between STL and DFW.

Have a great time burning through the cash

I can think of alot worse ways to spend the money.

Nice!

When Reno? If it's after June, I'm in!!
Lets see here...

Reno dates are;

5-10/11
5-31 & 6-1
6-21/22
7-12/13
8-9/10
8-23/24

They're all Sat&Sun which kinda blows for me, I gotta take off a Fri/Sat/Sun. That's not easy for me, but I will see what I can finagle...

For 5/10-11, they're going to run config C

For 5/31 & 6/1 they're going to run FULL or config H

For 6/21-22

waiting on call back

For 7/12-13 they're going to run config C

For 8/9-10

For 8/23-24  They don't know yet.

Update;

For 5/31 & 6/1 they're going to run FULL or config H

For 6/21-22 they'll run FULL course

For 7/12-13 they're going to run config C

For 8/9-10 they'll run FULL course

For 8/23-24 They don't know yet

I'm leaning towards 6/21-22 or 8/9-10 because I'd rather run the FULL course

What do you think Ryan?

The main reason I dont do track days. money.

If I wreck my bike, it costs money

if I dont wreck my bike it costs more money because I will be on the track more.

Charles, what is DFW Tower?

Dallas-Fort Worth Air Traffic Control Tower. I've been offered a promotion over there and I'm 98% sure I'm going to take it

Personally, I don't think I'm more likely to wreck my bike at the track than on the street. My first goal is not to crash, then have fun, and finally to go fast. If you factor in all the hazards of street riding(dirt/oil/traffic/etc), I think I'm more likely to wreck on the street than the track. The reason you see 2 or 3 guys wreck their bike every trackday is because they're trying to go as fast as they can, as if they were racing. But I stay in my comfort zone and have fun first. Improve my skills and get faster second. But I do realize that I will crash on the track someday, just like I will crash again on the street someday.

But I am running into that problem you mentioned last, not wrecking means more and more trackdays. It is an addiction...

Charles, after readin a very troubling post from a good member here today, I honestly feel like you only live once, and you being young like myself, do it all now bro! No regrets, no "list" you might feel compelled to accomplish later down the road, JUST DO IT!! Life is just too short to really ease your way thru...

yes, that $4k might make things more comforable financially, but it will go somewhere else if it doesnt go to this, your passion, your love for your bike and the track!!

And just think, when u get over here to DFW, you wont have to twist my arm AT ALL to join u for all the track days here and south of here!!

Awesome, I've already researched and found 5 tracks in the vicinity of DFW

Once the move happens then I'll look into ticket packs to make it a little cheaper

I wouldn't take the promotion if there weren't any tracks around
