Help me get rid of the GOLD

they have titanium hardcoatings that are black, getting it done is a bit of coin though, I think it was going to be like $500 for my old 650's forks

I swapped with GC for silver forks and black calipers.... No more gold for me!

The only problem is I dont want to rebuild the forks just change out the springs my bike only has 1400 miles on it, so exchanging for silver ones that need to be rebuilt is not worth it to me. The calipers have been taken care of, Painted nice and black! The forks I might cover with those black rubber boots.

if you had some time , and broke them down take them to a metal finishing shop they could probably black anodize them , but not sure i was thinkin they were gold anodized till i read they were titanium sumtin sumtin? the anodize finish should last forever !

I will get the forks pulled apart this w/e and sent out to you, after my trackday tomorrow.

If its just the top tube bothering you, powder coat them gloss or matte black. I was going to use those GSXR1k Upper Tubes for that just to see what color change to expect over the Ti/Gold coating. If you want your uppers coated let me know.

Calipers, you can get a rebuild kit for them and coat them which will be much more resistant to brake fluid etc. than scuffing and painting will be. I'll be coating mine this up coming winter, since I will be in Colorado and they actually have a no-ride season called winter!

No problem on the springs still waiting for lots of other stuff, The upper tubes will be painted for now and I'll get a set of those rubber boots to cover the lower half. The calipers are painted for now I figure next year I would rebuild them and have them coated then, I will hit you up then rather give a member the job then my local idiot who coats the threads everytime I send him something.
