Help me make a hard decision!

I`ve got a black and copper busa and one has to go...keep in mind I am going to chrome wheels and polish frame with lots more engine and frame chrome. Which color in the opinion of this fine group would you keep? I`ve flip flopped a hundred times on which one to sell. Remember the the mods that I plan. My wife says one goes or I`m in the dog house.

To me Suzuki will probably never duplicate the copper, truly unique color selection. Alot of people looking for the black will bring additional $$$. Keep the copper !!!

Tough choice, you'll win either way, but I think chrome and black work well together. I've always liked black except for washing it .. ;)

My friend has a black busa with chrome wheels. The chrome seems to set the black one off a little more than it does on the copper. Just my opinion.

I'm with Michael Lee. The copper color may never be on another suzuki production bike. If you plan on keeping for a long time. I'd hold on to the copper...investment wise.

Have you ever seen DP's bike? It's an amazing machine. Black is so nice with chrome wheels... go talk to the boys at Labusas.org, they'll give you an honest answer.

If you want stealth, keep the black, if you want to be mistaken for a XX or Ninja, etc., keep the black.

If you want people to know what just blew by them, keep the copper - they never forget!

Also, the Hayabusa in copper shows its sculpted form much better than black. Today, I was out tearing tarmac when another bike came into the mix, a black bike, I thought it was just another XX, until my second glance, I noticed it was a Hayabusa. Black shows road dust sooner than the copper.

I have a copper/silver. And I waited extra time to get it. Could have had a black one several weeks sooner. The copper is unique to the Busa. No one mistrakes it for any other bike. Keep the copper.

Keep the copper. is the better looking one and that's what makes the 'Busa unique. Aside from the black/grey, the blue/white and red/black combo look cheap in comparison.

Keep them coming....this is great....the reason one has to go is there`s a blue one sitting in garage too....busa`s are I guess like drugs...can`t get enough of them...anyway ones got to go...I`ll tally it up when this is done. Thanks again for the replies!

Well Chris, you knew I'd have to reply to this one!

My opinion:

It's damn hard to beat a blk/chrome combonation, period!

I have seen a stretched out, lowered copper Busa with a polished frame & chrome wheels.
Doesn't even come close to the "Psycho Busa"!(biased)
But I have always thought that a Busa like that(copper)with wheels like Dirty Pete has would be....KICK A.S.S!

question: Am I head strong or what?..lol

Chris, keep the Black!

Think about how all those chrome & neon replacement stickers look on the Black Busa's?!?!

I rest My case. :)

Chris--you can't be serious. Black over Copper. Copper is hideous. Sorry you copper lovers. I would own a copper bike just like I would own a copper car.

I was next to a Black XX yesterday with chrome wheels. My bike has silver Dymags now. Check it out at Labusas Chris. It looks transformed. The guy on the XX could not get over it and was wishing he had a Busa-IN BLACK.

It DOES NOT look like a XX!

Black looks expensive and beautiful. Copper and chrome?
You know what to do

Which do you think would look better? In the end thats what matters.

I agree with Hyper, the coppertops standout
Last fall Iwas at Vansons open house, walking
about. I must have walked past a B/G busa a
half dozen times and didnt even notice it!
the copperone there, noone missed!
Keep the copper

The copper's faster, the copper's unique, sell the copper for as much as you can and keep the black, the black's cool.

Keep the copper, sell the black one,buy a black Fatboy Harley and chrome the Sh*t out of it and tell the wife you found a Harley chick that wants to ride, give wife the house and start a new life. Only joking about the Harley and biker chick.Keep the wife!!!!!!!

I've got black/gray and love it. But my guess is that a decade from now when the mags are recalling the wonder years before ultimate bikes were regulated/legislated out of existence, they'll be showing a copper one.

Chris just keep the one you like best.

The effect of color on resale value is pure speculation. Mechanical and cosmetic condition are the only two drivers of used bike value.

Around here, very few people wanted a copper. The dealer had to twist some arms to unload them on people who had originally ordered black.

Since you asked for personal opinions, here's mine: The copper/white could have been great, but it's a poorly executed paint scheme.

It looks OK in the color-enhanced Suzuki launch ads and materials, but it's disappointing in reality.

The copper is more brown than copper. It should have been darker and glossier to approximate the brilliant sheen of polished copper. And the gray/white is too mid-tone to provide good contrast with the copper color. It should have been a brighter pearl color and should also have been coated to a higher gloss.

To me, the overall effect is bland and monotone. It lacks the "gravitas" and impact the bike deserves. I think anyone who loves the copper idea ought to consider having the bike repainted with high quality metallic copper, pearl white and clear coat.

Then you'd still have a copper Busa. But the paint would make an impact that's worthy of the motorcycle underneath it.
