I have 3 Arai's. Awesome helmets the only problem is the side visor plates they develop cracks around 4 years. I would go with the x11s because of the weight and ventilation.
i agree on the gmax helmets. they vent very very well and they also have a removable liner. i often ride at speed and they are very stable. by the way if you have the orange and black they have one that matches perfectly. good luck on your quest.
I have just bought a Shoei XR-1000 Rogue and i am loving it. I was not used to having vents before and i was wondering how my head was cold until my wife who was on the bike with me told me i had a vent on the back. She closed it and I felt warm again
So i am not experienced with Lids but i like this one.
Ok, here is the deal...
Currently ride in a Shoei RF-1000, love the design, but doesn't flow air at all. I sweat like crazy unless it's like 50 degrees outside. I hate it for that reason...
I am looking at two helmets, Shoei X-11, and the Arai RX-7 Corsair...
I am 6'4" tall, am getting Tobin seats done this week and have a Puig double bubble screen on my Busa...
What do you guys ride in that flows a lot of air and doesn't wobble your head around when at speed...
Go for the Shoei X-11.
In europe it's called X-Spirit.
I'm going for my second Shoei X-11 (just trashed my last one on a fall).
Much more quiet than the RX-7 Corsair.
The Arai for me is just superior if you are choosing a replica, much better design's.
Regarding the wobble of the head, I use the X-11 and a leather jacket (Alpinestars RC-1) with a hump on the back, so when you going fast you can put the helmet against the hump and no wobble even at speeds of + 290 Km/h
i just took the first ride with my new icon airframe, very light, very quiet, and good airflow. i also like the way it fits my head. i also like the suzuki blue color with the suzuki logos. i am very satisfied with it for the price of $245.00.
