h&k 416 if they ever make a civilian version. personally i'm waiting on a department issue:thumbsup::thumbsup:just a few more weeks

That's what I'm talking about. Isn't that the HK model from 'Future Weapons' where the host picks it up from being buried in sand/dirt and another under muddy water and proceeds to fire it?

I love the look of the H&K but it reminds me of the MP5 that my military unit used to use and they were not accurate and about as useless as tits on a bull. We deployed with them in the beginning of 9-11 but found out that they weren't good firefight weapons at all. So 1 phone back statside and we had brand new M4s within 2 weeks. They're a good close quarters room clearing weapon but not nowhere close to being as accurate a 5.56 mil spec M4.

Robot! I am with you there. I got a mini-14 too! But Relvis is right at 50yrd range. After that it get questionable. Hey Chris!!! How you doing?

Why not just buy a Les Baer Custom and have done with it

lesbaer.com

My weapon of choice in both 5.56 (which I dislike-but that's another subject), 7.62 (.308 for you utter guys) and my trusty and first shot self defense --Custom .45

With a Surefire suppressor for the HEARING sensitive

update: Looks like this thread popped back up.

I did finally get the Sig. I couldn't get the Swat edition. I ended up buying the "Halo" version, which has the cheapest dot sight I guess they could find. (It does say Sig on the side of it though :) )

As far as shooting, It's great so far. Tightest groups I could manage at 100m were about 2 inches using a ACOG 4X32. Reliable so far. Best thing is not hearing that "twang" in the stock after every shot.

I will need to loosen my tinfoil hat a little bit and I will post some pics.

Thanks,
Chris

Mini-14:thumbsup:Robust, Reliable, Volksgun

I got one years ago just because "Hannibal" used one on the "A-Team". If you all remember the "A team".

Mine will "Pattern" at 100m. Not really what one would call a "group". At 50m it's a bit tighter.

Chris

7.62 I think it may be better than a 5.56
This was my favorite rifle we had a large collection, this one stood out from the others may not be a cal. you looking for but it was fun at the range FN FAL

BTDT: 7.62 AK's out the ying yang in the back of the safe. Not really that "fun" to shoot, IMHO. But they do fill a niche.

i also have the mp-5 with the navy trigger. the sight picture is the same and i agree they do resemble one another. i wouldn't use it for anything other than cqb. as far as not accurate goes, i find it pretty hard to miss with, at close range anyway. again that's what our team has them for. not much for knock down power or body armor, but they definetley are manuverable and do much better shooting through glass car windshield's as opposed to .223. they don't splinter.
by the way, enjoy your new toy!

I'm still up in "arms"...

I am actually leaning more and more towards the FS2000 just outta sheer "Cool" factor. I'll pick up a Model 700 or SPR if I really feel like I need to reach out, but what I am really after is somethign entertaining and fun to shoot. The FS is both of those.

But then I run "What If's" through my head and I'd rather have a SAIGA AK Style .12 gauge, combined with my AR and FAL. I cannot think of a more effective firearm for home/property defense than a Semi-Auto Box Fed .12 gauge.

BUT, If I just focus on the fun, I want the FS... I dunno, Getting frustrated. Sigh...

For about $1300 you could get yourself a badazz saiga. $900 for the Saiga (with the 5 US compliance parts) and $400 for the 20rnd drum. I would say, Very Effective indeed. :)
