Help with exhaust choice

Well, add this: the Gen3 system (polished) is $1054 from Tom at Veltune and the Yoshie tri-oval in titanium is $1060 from Pipecity, both "to your door". I was so hoping one or the other would be cheaper and I would make that the decision point. Now, I'm no further along then before, still undecided. The PC3r is even the same price, $315 w/ purchase of system. The only thing is, BDE comes loaded with a good map, the yoshies don't. Kyle at Pipe City told me he would download a map off the yoshie web site that would be close. Since I don't have a Johnny Cheese close by, I may have to run with what ever map I get until this summer. That may have to be the decision point. Or, maybe I should just take this money and buy her a new dining room table. Or not...

Charles kinda touchy about his..... "yoshi"

nahhh, just disagreeing...

I still haven't seen any thing real for me to believe that hindle makes more power than yoshi. I'm not going to take someone's word for it. Lets see a bike with yoshi dynoed then take the exhaust off THAT bike and put on a hindle. Doubt there'll be any difference worth mentioning.

Since no one else is going to.... I'll wave the HMF flag! HMF! HMF! HMF!

I prefer the TiForce 4-1 system. It performs hand to hand with the BDE. I wonder if Brock can put anymore advertising on his pipe.

From the Dyno guy I know the Brock-Hindle makes the best power...

I have a Yoshi Tri-oval on the Busa and a Tsukigi 4-2-1 Titanium on the ZRX...

There is a guys selling an akro on sh.org needs a little work though 200 plus shipping. i was gonna get it but need my cash for something else right now

Would be a good test, but I have seen numerous dyno sheets of HMFs, BDEs, and Ti-Forces netting around 169-171 HP. (after a good tuning of course) Haven't seen any yoshis that high, don't mean they dont exist tho.

you cant go wrong with the quality, power and the awesome support of the BDE gen3
Brock will anwer your emails personally the same day or you can even call and talk to him anytime (937) 298-6818 call and ask for Brock
try calling yoshimura and asking for Mr yoshimura lol

I love the way the Yosh RS-3 sounds on a busa... It gives it a nice deep growl, but not overpowering or obnoxiously loud
I have to agree there. I have the rs3 race baffle cans on my bike and I have had several people that ride with me everytime we stop just go off about how good my exhaust sounds. I ride with a guy on a 04 cbr 1000 rr and he LOVES it. He said when I get to my midrange it gets so loud that it drownds his exhaust out. He just purchased a new rs5 setup for his cbr based souly on how my setup sounds. I love yosh!

I think thats what sets them apart from all other companies....i called and actually talked to the guy whos name was on the pipe amazing. As for buying a pipe on sound alone...i did once and wont do it again

Well, I finally made up my mind...after talking with Tom (warbaby) at Veltune, I went with BDE. If you are on the fence, I suggest you call him up. Here is a guy that handled many different systems but after installing the BDE on his own busa has built his business around the Gen3 system. Very convinceing guy selling from the heart, never said a bad word about anyone elses pipes. He will even tell you straight up, the install can be a #####....

MoonDog, after reading your post I was one step from calling Veltune.  When it comes to spending money, my arm doesn't always like to extend until I'm sure.  It's a hard decision.  Once I purchase an exhaust, life will be easier.  I understand the power that the Gen3 makes.  How is the sound?  What type of maintenance is needed for the polished titanium?  The polished carbon fiber looks nice also.  The polish on the yosh looks awesome.  Maybe if I could see them in person, things would be easier.  A local shop wants to charge 725.00 for a Muzzys full system (recommended highly).  I have seen some for 5 bills and change.  Does Muzzys offer an aluminum and stainless can, which could explain the price difference?  Choices.  Choices.  You are all a great help.

Hehe, I thought my HMFs were kind of loud when my buddies started wearing earplugs...

Aftermarket pipes just about drown out any bike with stock pipes.

Three words TEAM YOSHIMURA SUZUKI all the way.. Fit, finish and sound 2nd to none.
