Help with GLpro ATRE

Hello to all,
I have a question about a GLpro ATRE that i have recently purchased and installed on my 04 busa. Installed out of the box setting sets it to map 5 the display reads 1-4 gears with no problems when i hit 5th and 6th gear the display reads 0, so i tried to manually program it with the "L" feature it learns 1-4 with no problems then when 5 starts flashing and i shift it to 5th it just keeps flashing and wont register it. I have tried many times and had it program 5th and 6th gear once, I test drove it and once on the highway I hit 5th it read 0 gear same with 6th gear. Any advice on getting this to work properly? Or anyone have a similar problem with these?

I have almost the same, sometimes it wont show 6th,dont know whats up with it,it will show 6th when it wants to then it will read 0 like yours.

I don’t have a GIPro, but I would start by isolation the problem. Disconnect the GIPro and rejoin the factory connectors. Verify that the voltage on the Gear Position Sensor is correct so the GIPRO is getting the correct signal.

Measure the voltage from the pink wire in the connector to ground. You’ll have to use a needle probe to get into it.
The “approximateâ€￾ voltages you should get. The biggest thing is getting the ascending change as you go up through the gears.
Netural - 5.00v
1 - 1.83v
2 - 2.28v
3 - 3.03v
4 - 3.72v
5 - 4.42v
6 - 4.75v

If these are not in range, you will need to look at your GPS on the bike.

Thats good info professor, I have never had a problem with mine but this is good to know, thanx.

could just have a problem with the GiPro... if those voltages are good then i'd say send it back and get another... I have no issues with mine. Plugged it in and it worked fine right out of the box...

Street and Track has them, not sure who else does.

I have noticed mine will show a 0 between all gears if I shift slow but not during normal shifts.

This is because of the way the switch in the GPS is made. It disconnects one resistor before it connects to the other. The open when it disconnects makes it read 5 volts on the pink wire. The display will then show Neutral or "0". When you shift is normally it is so fast it does not react to the change.

Thanks, You just saved me from checking my voltages.

hi, i am having the same problem as well,
-shifting from 3rd to 4th it shows 0 in 4th gear
-down shifting from 5th to 4th it shows 6 in 4th gear

i checked the GPS voltages with the kick stand up, ignition switch ON, with the engine running and engine not running
Gear 1 - 1.8v
Gear 2 - 5.01v
Gear 3 - 3.03v
Gear 4 - 3.71v
Gear 5 - 4.25v
Gear 6 - 4.73v

does it means my GPS needs replacement?
