Here we go, are you ready?

Kinda Strange Seeing a ZX-1400 Up Close. I only get a chance to see them as I am Passing by or in a Parking Lot. Guess I will be seeing you in My Mirrors soon.

Yeah, I'd really like to be all open minded here and say something like "not that there's anything WRONG with that!"

But, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, you're a pretentious little wanker who should be on another forum.

Yeah, what he said. ya TRAITOR.

Just kiddin, maybe. Glad you found a bike you are comfortable with. Just hope you are as comfortable in the Busa's mirrors.
BTW, I found a sign for your wife to carry...

Have fun but be careful. does this mean you wont be on the Org.?

nope sorry, there is no way i would of traded a hayabusa for a zx-14, you probably will regret that one, however as long as your happy thats what matters.

This means theres a good used Busa out there for someone who can't afford new. Most likely "very low mileage only ridden on Sundays to church by a little old lady.

Hope you enjoy the new scoot.

Just got off the phone with selsct20 of Columbia, SC
Here"s a transalation to pass along as to what he really meant to say;

After 1450miles on the Busa I couldn't take it anymore
( My hands and fingers hurt, my grips were loosening, It was too hard for me to hold on to as I twisted the throttle )

I was in complete denial that everything was right.
( When in actuality everything was right and left. I could go even faster if I clutch in and shift 5, that's "five" more times. YIKES!!! )

I had to be honest with myself, everytime I got on my Busa, something just wasn't right.
( There were too many people driving to close to get a glimps and staring at me. )

When I rode the wife's ZX14, it felt a whole lot better.
( Ahh incognito )

To make a long story short, I had to be honest with myself and get the bike that made me happy.
( I was getting paranoid. Were other riders / drivers giving a thumbs up or were they flipping me off. I could not tell.  I had to be sure. )

Once I traded her in today I felt kinda bad. But once I jumped on my new 14, I realized what I was missing.
( So I traded up right? 1300 for 1400 please is what I told the dealer. He seemed oddly enough to be happy though almost smirking. Oh well now I am at a pace where I can see passing thing  better.  But for whatever reason now I detect no more hand signals.)

I'm not saying the Busa is a lesser bike, because its not, it just wasn't for me.
(I often go camping and having a built in grill is handy for me.)

Never did fit me right. I found the bike to make me happy is all. I'll still be aronud if I survive the flaming.
(Don't understand how yall can stand all that neck pain from all the head swinging around from going that fast  I loved the attention the busa gave me,  but I want to be around to see my kids grow up get married and have kids of their own . You crazy guys you.)

It's OK.... after all, there were those guys who actually liked driving a Pinto too.  That's what makes the world go 'round!

Just remember, 2nd place ain't too bad

Hey...I resemble that statement!
I didn't enjoy driving it all that much though.

Congrats 20 on the new 14, too bad you had to 86 the K8 - that's a big 10-4!

get the bike that you like to ride and fits you, that's all that matters. you are still on two wheels

The 14 is a very comfy bike. You will enjoy. They are both great bikes, and I commend you for being honest with yourself. I am a Motorcyclist, and enjoy all bikes for what they are and do.

Dear 20:

If you really feel that way, we won't miss you here.

Just kidding, yo...don't have a kaw.

Ride what you love; love what you ride.

I find it strange, however, that you'd come to the place where gold and platinum altars housed in marble shrines have been erected to a bike which you dissed for its direct competition. ...almost like needing some attention or something...maybe tryin' to pick a fight. Hm...

Well, there's always Xanax for that.

Enjoy the ride, bro.

..and good luck.

As long as you love to ride your fine by me

I don't think Select was trying to start probs...just sharing his viewpoint and experiences with his ugly, weak-braked, portly busa-blob. He just decided he preferred the ugly, amazing braked, not-so-portly kawi-crap instead. Since I own both I figure its kinda an us vs us scenario for me
